Training
Overview
The Food Research Institute provides training opportunities to industry and regulatory personnel as part of our outreach and education programming. Regular short courses include the 2-day Better Process Cheese School for development and production of safe pasteurized process cheese products and a 3-day meat safety workshop. Other short courses pertinent to the industry are sponsored by the WI Center for Dairy Research, Animal Sciences, and UW Extension.
Graduate and undergraduate students can study food microbiology and safety under the direction of FRI faculty in one of several UW-Madison departments. Visit the Graduate Programs section to learn more about participating UW-Madison departments.
